Richard E. Rayner, 88, passed away on October, 28, 2015. Memorial services are scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Saturday, November 7, in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Private interment will take place in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. He was born Richard Emmett Rayner on March 7, 1927, in Memphis, Tenn. to Whitney Rayner and Myrtle McGee Rayner. Richard was a verteran of WWII , stationed in Germany with the U.S. Army. Richard retired from General Dynamics. He loved to sing and had a wonderful voice. He was a hardworking man who loved and provided for his family. Richard was a firm believer that if you agreed to do a job that you should do it right. He loved football and was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and The University of Texas Longhorns. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Schirmer Rayner; and two brothers, James and Russell Rayner. Survivors include his daughters, Deborah Tyler and Lynda Foster and husband, John; his son, Gary Rayner; two grandchildren, Alicia Edwards, and Jason Edwards and wife, Casey; a great-grandchild, Brody Edwards; and two sisters, Ruth Rayner, and Evelyn Di Joseph and husband, Joe.
