Our hearts are heavy with grief and no words can express the sorrow we feel about Rick’s passing.

I will always remember Rick as a very little boy, standing close and leaning in to his mother’s knee , as she spoke to our grandmother.

May his love, courage and joy for life support and inspire his much adored wife, children , grandchildren , brother and sister and Dad during this difficult time.

I've worked for Rick for 20 years with Storage USA, then Sentry. His excitement for this industry was contagious. Every sentence he spoke was inspirational and guaranteed loyalty. I'am a true fan and I always wanted to make him proud. Each holiday season, he would say, "Have a Prosperous New Year", and by knowing him, each year felt very prosperous to me. Love to his family. My family was fortunate to know Rick for as long as I can remember us owning mini warehouses. He was the rock to our portfolio and also taught us so much about the industry. More importantly, he was a great friend and often times I found us just talking about baseball or something unrelated to our properties whenever he came to town.

We will miss him greatly and will continue to keep his family in our prayers during this difficult time. Rick was no doubt....one of a kind.

See you again my friend.

We are very fortunate to know Rick over the years of doing business with him. He has been a great gentleman to work with; someone you could say a friend, a trusted business partner, and above all a great man. It's a big loss for all of us. Our prayers be with Rick and his family. Rest in peace.

Though I haven't seen Rick since we were kids, I have many fond memories. We played hockey every winter when the golf course ponds froze over. Rick was the goalie and since he couldn't skate, we had to help him to the other end when it was time to switch. Rest in peace friend.
