Robert Lee Creasy

Robert Lee Creasy, 84, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026, surrounded by the love and memories of a life well lived. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose life was marked by family, faith, hard work, humor, and an extraordinary career in film and the news industry.

Born to Harry and Florence Creasy, Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Jimmy Creasy and Junior Creasy.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Marriott; his brothers, Richard Creasy (Lillian) and Eddie Creasy (Karen); and his children, Carol Bateson (David), Connie May (Tommy), Michael Creasy (Mollie), and Melany Creasy (Jesse).

He was a proud grandfather to Sara, Jessica, Julian, Anna Ashley, Brittney, Megan, Robert, and a great-grandfather to seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will cherish his memory.

Bob was a true jokester who loved to make people laugh and bring humor to everyday life. He was also a hard worker who rarely sat still. He always kept himself busy, especially when there was a project to be done. He was the kind of person who was ready to lend a hand, whether helping family, friends, or anyone who needed him. His willingness to help and his knack for keeping busy became a meaningful part of who he was and a lasting memory for those who knew him.

He spent his life working in the film and news industry, building a remarkable career that took him places and allowed him to experience things many people only dream about. His dedication, talent, and contributions to the industry earned him two Emmy Awards, a remarkable achievement reflecting the exceptional work he accomplished throughout his career.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Bob was a man of faith. He was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Grapevine, where his faith and connection to his church community were an important part of his life.

He leaves behind more than accomplishments and awards. He leaves behind stories, laughter, memories, lessons, and countless projects completed alongside the people he loved. He leaves a family who will remember his humor, his strong work ethic, his willingness to help, and the unique way he made an impression on the lives around him.

His family will remember him not simply for what he achieved, but for the father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and man he was. His was a life filled with experiences, hard work, laughter, faith, family, and remarkable accomplishments.

Though he is deeply missed, his legacy will live on through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. His stories will be told, his jokes remembered, and his helping hands will never be forgotten.
