Robert Dalton Kelly, 86, a loving husband and father and devoted Christian, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2019 in North Richland Hills, Texas. The youngest of six children, he was born on December 4, 1932 in Blanket, Texas to Littleton Norman and Jessie Loretta (Skiles) Kelly. Bob graduated as valedictorian from Mullin (Texas) High School in 1950. After briefly attending business school, he enlisted in the U.S Navy, serving on active duty for seven years, mostly in and near Japan. During that time, he met Yoshiko Hashimoto (later known as Betty), and they were wed in Yokohama on June 18, 1956. Bob and Betty built a life and family together over the next 37 years, settling in Texas after his honorable discharge from the Navy in 1958. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin, attained his CPA license, and spent his entire professional career in civil service, retiring in 1989. Bob had entered the U.S. Naval Reserve shortly after leaving active duty, and retired with the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer in 1992. Betty passed away unexpectedly in 1993. Bob then met Yoko DeMars, who had also been recently widowed, and they wed on May 8, 1995, enjoying a happy and active life together for over 24 years until his death.

In addition to his second wife, Yoko DeMars, Bob is survived by his four children with Betty: Mary Kelly of Frisco, George Kelly of Lake Worth, Judy Charles (Ed) of Grapevine, and Michael Kelly of Northlake; four grandchildren; sister Mary Catherine (Kelly) Shugart of Fort Worth, brother Charles Littleton Kelly of Colorado Springs, CO, and numerous extended family members. He is also survived by Yoko's three sons and four grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, his sisters Mildred Alleen (Kelly) Lewis and Exa Mae Virginia (Kelly) Vogel, and his brother Norman Clyde Kelly.
