Robert “Bob” S. Minka, 65, of Grapevine, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025 at Baylor Scott & White Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family. Bob was the proud father of two daughters.
His youngest child, Riley, born in 2003, was one of the shining lights of his life. He was immensely proud of the remarkable young woman she had become and eagerly looked forward to her graduation from the University of Texas at Austin in May 2026, Hook ’em!
His eldest, Niccole Kotliar (daughter with Heidi Yeadon), and her husband Roman of Charlotte, North Carolina, was also a constant source of pride. One of Bob’s most cherished moments was walking Niccole down the aisle—a moment he spoke of often and held close to his heart.
Bob touched many lives across Massachusetts, California, and Texas. He had a quiet way of making people feel seen, valued, and cared for. He loved life, treasured his family and friends, and lived with an open heart. His warmth, humor, and generous spirit will be deeply missed, but the love he gave so freely will continue to live on through his family and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A graduate of Bentley College, Bob built a long and successful career as a Certified Public Accountant and later as a Controller for Senske Family of Companies. While he took pride in his career, he often joked that his greatest professional achievement was managing to retire three times.
Growing up in Shrewsbury and Cape Cod, Massachusetts, both places held a special place in Bob’s heart and shaped him in lasting ways. Although his life later took him to California and eventually Texas, he never lost his New England roots. A devoted fan of the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, and Boston Bruins, his loyalty to his hometown teams never wavered.
Bob was an incredible husband and the love of Kristy’s life—her constant partner in everything they shared. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, resilience, and unwavering love. Bob was never happier than when he was with his family—whether celebrating milestones, sharing quiet moments, or simply being together.
Bob is survived by his wife Kristy, Daughters: Riley, and Niccole and her husband Roman, of Charlotte, North Carolina. Sister Theresa Jefferson and her husband Paul of Sturbridge, Massachusetts; his brother Thomas Minka and his wife Beth of San Rafael, California; his sister Linda Krasnoo and her husband Eric of Centerville, Massachusetts; as well as six nieces and nephews and eight great-nieces and great-nephews. Family and friends meant everything to Bob, and he held each relationship close to his heart.
Bob was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Joan (Gelber) Minka.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034 on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 1:30pm. The service will be livestreamed and recorded for those unable to attend in person. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society. Bright colors, polo shirts and sports team attire are welcomed, for those attending in person, don’t feel you need to wear black attire.
