

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM Friday, May 23rd, at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery following the Mass. His family will greet friends from 7 to 9 PM Thursday May 22nd with a Rosary recited at 7:00 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church.
Ronald Doran was born on October 12, 1931 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, to Maurice and Pauline Doran. Ron rose to the rank of Command Sergeant Major in the United States Army. He spent time in the Marines, Army, Army Reserves, and Army National Guard over a career of 35 years. He served in both the Korean and Vietnam wars. Ron was extremely proud of his military service and was always ready to tell a joke or story accumulated over the years. Ron also enjoyed a career with Lever Brothers as an Area Account Manager. Ron was a loving father to his three children and a devoted husband to his wife of 31 years, Dottie Garrett Doran. Ron was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing at a number of courses in the United States, England and Scotland. His most treasured memories surrounded the six times he played the Old Course at St. Andrews in Scotland.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy Garrett Doran: a sister, Maureen Holbrook: his three children, Kevin Patrick Doran and wife Theresa, Sean Michael Doran, and Kathlynn Marie Doran: Stepson, James Ewing Williams IV and wife Penny: and seven grandchildren.
