Rose Mary Derby

Rose was a loving wife of 59 years, mother, sister, and friend. Prior to retirement she worked as a Payroll Manager for Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, and Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, Maryland. She volunteered in the RCIA ministry at St John Neuman’s Catholic Church for several years. She was always there to lovingly help when needed.

She was preceded in death by her parents Wallace and Catherine Arold, her son Robert Derby Jr., and her twin sister Catherine Palmieri.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Derby Sr.; her children Fred and Stacey Derby and Michael and Laura (Derby) Best; her six grandchildren - Joshua Derby, Abby Derby, Meagan Best, Thomas Best, Alison Best, and David Best; and 19 nieces and nephews.

A memorial Rosary will be said at 9:30am on November 17, 2023, at Good Shepherd Catholic Community Church with a funeral mass at 10:00am. Interment will follow the Mass in the Marion Garden, Good Shepherd Catholic Community Church.
