

Rose Marie (Williamsen) Meng-Payne, 98, of North Richland Hills, Texas, passed away on October 3, 2026, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of love, faith, and cherished memories.
Rose was born on August 28, 1928, in Ralston, Nebraska, to Chris Williams and Hattie Hansen Williamsen. She was raised in York, Nebraska, where she attended high school. She later pursued nursing studies in 1947, reflecting her caring nature and desire to help others.
On January 3, 1948, Rose married the love of her life, Lawrence Robert Meng, affectionately known as Larry. Together, they built a life centered on love, family, and devotion, and were blessed with three children, Linda, Mark, Lea, and Larry. Throughout her life, Rose demonstrated her compassion and dedication to others through her work as a medication aide.
Rose found joy in life's simple pleasures and treasured the moments spent with those she loved most. She enjoyed sewing, working on puzzles, watching football, baking, and tending to her garden. Music brought her happiness, while her faith remained an important part of her life through church and Bible study. Above all, Rose delighted in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating precious memories that will be treasured for generations.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Rose's greatest joy was her family. Her life was a beautiful reflection of the love she gave so freely, the faith she carried, and the special place she held in the hearts of those around her. She will be remembered for the warmth of her presence, her devotion to her family, and the countless ways she made life meaningful for those she loved.
Rose was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lawrence Robert “Larry” Meng.
Rose is survived by her daughter, Linda Dyer, and her sons, Sean and Chad Dyer (wife, Holly); her son, Mark Meng (wife, Brenda), and their children, Tina Miller, Michelle Potts, and Jason Meng; her daughter, Lea Mendes, and her children, Stephanie Burnett and Jeff Weist; and her son, Larry Meng (wife, Kathy), and their children, Jacob Meng and Alexandra Meng. She also leaves behind numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, each a treasured part of her lasting legacy.
Though Rose will be deeply missed, the love she shared and the memories she created will continue to live on through the many generations of family she leaves behind. Her life was one of love, faith, and family, and her legacy will forever remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
