

He was born to Jim and Girdie Morrison, Nov. 25, 1932, in Algoma, MS. Royce graduated from Algoma High School in 1950. He was also in the National Guard and was mobilized during the Korean War. He then received a BS in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Mississippi in 1956. He was the first of his family to graduate from college. He married Thelma Biffle, his high school sweetheart, that same year. They set up home in Memphis, TN where their two daughters, Anna and Kathy, were born.
Royce worked for Agrico Chemical Co. for 40 years. His job took the family from Memphis to Tulsa, OK, and then Baton Rouge, LA. After retiring, he and Thelma joined their daughter, Anna, and her family in Euless, TX.
Royce dearly loved the Lord and was always sharing his faith with others. He was a great spiritual leader of his family. He loved to study and learn. He was a great teacher of children at church and served as a deacon for many years. He enjoyed travel, which his job Agrico provided, as he traveled to 48 states in the US. He enjoyed gospel music, fishing, camping and reading. He was quite the handy man with home projects, car repairs and could build almost anything.
Royce is survived by his wife, Thelma Biffle Morrison and two daughters, Anna Marie Alba and husband, Tim, of Grapevine, TX, and Kathy Morrison Fisher and husband, Jeff, of Rogers, AR. He is survived by two sisters, Wanda Davis and Shirley Young, both of Pontotoc, MS. Royce is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Leslie Marie Medlin and husband, Ryan, of Waco, TX , Joshua Donald Alba and wife, Robyn, of North Richland Hills, TX, Caleb Timothy Alba of Grapevine, David Wayne Engle and Addison William Engle both of Rogers, AR. He was preceded in death by his brothers, L. D. Morrison and Buddy Morrison and his sisters, Christine Klutts, Earlene Roberts and Virginia McGuire.
The visitation will be held on February 8, 2015 at Blue Bonnet Hills Funeral Home from 6-8pm. The funeral service will be held on February 9, 2015 at First Baptist Euless at 11am. The family plans a private graveside burial.
