

She was born on December 22, 1923 in Delos, Virginia. She had a God given talent for playing the piano and she used that talent to serve the Lord. She was the organist/pianist at First Baptist Church, Bedford, Texas for 20+ years and she loved it.
Ruth was retired from the Interstate Commerce Commission and spent most of her retirement years as a volunteer at Harris Methodist HEB. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.
Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Allport.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Eby of Texarkana, Texas; her son, Stanley (Pete) Allport of Euless, Texas; four grandsons, Eric Eby of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Scott (Jennifer) Eby of Rogers, Arkansas, Dr. Jay Allport of Hickory Creek, Texas, and Tony (Stali) Allport of North Richland Hills, Texas; two great grandchildren, Rylee and Ryder Allport of North Richland Hills, Texas, and another on the way in June; and also several nieces and nephews.
Due to the current health situation, there will be a private family graveside service on Thursday, April 23rd at 12:30pm at Bluebonnet Hills with Dr. Clyde Glazener officiating.
