Ruth moved to Fort Worth around 1950, where she and Harry began dating. They married June 19, 1953 and were blessed with 67 years of marriage. They joined Bellevue Baptist Church on Hurst, TX around 1960, now known as Pipeline Church. Mom was a loyal Sunday School teacher in the bed babies room for over 40 years. She also taught every year in VBS. Mom truly loved ALL children. She was a loving wife, mother, Mimi, sister and friend to all.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Harry Edwards and all seven of her siblings. Ruth is survived by her two loving daughters, Kim Sexton (Larry), Kelly Mauk (Greg); four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered for her kind and gentle heart, love and support.
Services will be held at at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, Texas 76034. A visitation for Ruth will be held Friday, September 24, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM . A Celebration of Life will begin at 10:30 followed by a graveside service at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
