Born in Fort Worth, Texas, on January 17, 1942 to Mary Lou and Howard William Ratcliff, Sandra lived a life rooted in faith, family, and kindness.
On December 7, 1957 she married the love of her life, William Fredrick “Fred” Baley, and together they built a beautiful marriage that lasted nearly 68 years, filled with laughter, shared dreams, and unwavering devotion.
Sandra was a devoted follower of Christ who shared her faith joyfully with others. In her younger years she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, lovingly guiding generations of children to know the love of Jesus through her gentle smile and endless patience. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and her gift for decorating filled her home with the warmth and joy of the season as she celebrated the Savior’s birth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Lou and Howard William Ratcliff; her sister, Glenda Akins; and her beloved great-grandchild, Gideon LeDoux.
Sandra is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 68 years, Fred Baley of Aledo; her son, Greg Baley and wife Melanie; her daughter, Rhonda Schneider and husband Steve; her cherished grandchildren, Merrie Haig, Lindsey LeDoux and husband Grady, Max Baley and wife Amber, Sterling Schneider, and Christian Schneider; her adored great-grandchildren, Olivia Haig, Aida LeDoux, Reuben Haig, Gemma LeDoux, Daniel LeDoux, and Samuel LeDoux; her niece Donna Akins; nephews Robert Baley and Andrew Baley; as well as many other loving family members and dear friends who will miss her shining light.
Well done, good and faithful servant. Rest in the arms of Jesus until we meet again—where every day will feel like Christmas morning in His presence.
A Memorial service will take place Saturday, December 6th, 2025 at 1:30pm at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034
