Sheryn Joyce Hewitt of Grapevine Texas. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend peacefully left this world on February 8th, 2018 at age 74 surrounded by her family after courageously battling cancer for many years.
Sheryn was born on September 10, 1943 in Oakland CA to Elmer & Marney Heimlich. Her
passions included living and traveling Europe and collecting beautiful heirlooms which she
happily shared stories of origin and facts. She loved lingering over antiques for hours and
admiring their history. She decorated every room in the house and the exterior for every
Holiday. She had adaptivity to take on anything creative- culinary, sewing, knitting, needlepoint,
pottery, stain-glass, arts & crafts and gardening…she loved it all. She retired from GTE in 1998
and enjoyed traveling with her kids, being a member of the Red Hat Society, a loyal supporter
of the Carroll High School band and founder of the Robert Hewitt Music Scholarship Award.
You always knew where you stood with Sheryn, a strong Virgo with quick wit, she was honest
as the day is long and not afraid to speak her mind. When she loved and respected you, you
knew it! She loved her little dog Abigail more than life…her precious Jack Russell rescue fur
baby never left her side and was her loyal loving companion through & through.
Sheryn lovingly joins her husband Ron and son Robbie in heaven.
Her surviving adult children Tamorah, Thomas, Theresa and grandson Tyler will have her in their hearts forever. She is also survived by her Sister Cookie, Niece's Carrie and Nichole and nephew Sean.
