Shirley Shinn Simcoe, a beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her daughter’s home, on Sunday, October 25, 2026.
Shirley was born on June 2, 1929, in Pineville, Missouri, to the late Helen Louise (Brown) Shinn and Ralph Melvin Shinn. She was one of three children and graduated from Pineville High School.
Above all else, she will be remembered for the unconditional love she gave so freely to her family and friends. As a wife, mother, and grandmother, she embodied kindness, generosity, and devotion to those she loved. Her family was the center of her world, and she found her greatest joy in the time they shared together.
Even in her final days, Shirley faced life’s challenges with quiet strength and grace, enduring her struggles without complaint. She continued to treasure the time spent with her family, especially sitting on the deck in the evenings drinking a glass of peach wine and watching sports with her son-in-law. Perhaps her greatest heartache was knowing she would have to leave her beloved grandson and his fiancé, Garrett and Gabrielle behind, along with her dear friends Kathy and Herb, and Patrice who shared her love of adventure and made so many wonderful memories with her. She cherished her time with family in Missouri and was looking forward to being with them over the Thanksgiving holiday. She loved the holidays and was already thinking about Christmas with her grandson and her soon to be extended family.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Kellie Kahveci and Dr. Jill Studley who cared for her with such compassion and kindness. Their dedication and support brought comfort to her and her family, and we will always be grateful.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Tracey Ezelle and husband Brent; her grandson, Garrett, and his fiancé, Gabrielle, all of Fort Worth, Texas; her niece, Pam Jones; and her great-niece, Michelle Huddleston and her husband Jeremey, all of Jane, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Daniel Simcoe; her parents; and her two brothers, Dave and Jim Shinn.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and treasured memories that will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Though her absence will be deeply felt, the joy she brought to others and the love she shared will live on in the lives she touched.
Rest in peace, Mom. We love you so much, and you will forever be in our hearts.
A private viewing will be held at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville, Arkansas on Friday, November 6, 2026, followed by private graveside services on Saturday, November 7, 2026.
