Stacey Sue Brown, age 56, passed away peacefully in Bedford, Texas, on June 7, 2026. She was born on July 30, 1969, in Fort Worth, Texas. Stacey was proud of her Texas roots. She grew up in Hurst, Texas, attended North Fort Worth Baptist Church, and often described herself in her own words as, "God made, Jesus saved, and Texas raised."

Above all else, Stacey loved her family. She was incredibly proud to be the mother of her two beloved daughters, Abygail Ann Murray and Gabriella Misty Murray. In recent months, one of her greatest joys was becoming a grandmother to her first grandchild, Sonny Ray, who brought endless happiness to her heart. Also, for several years, she loved and cared for her stepchildren, Naomi Murray and Josh Murray..

Stacey had a deep love for animals and rarely met a creature she didn't want to befriend. She delighted in caring for dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, chickens, squirrels, and even a possum or two. Her compassionate spirit extended beyond animals to people as well. Stacey had a tender heart for those in need and was often drawn to help the homeless and others facing difficult circumstances.

Known for her creativity, sweetness, determination, and strong work ethic, Stacey lived life with enthusiasm and adventure. She loved shopping, crafting, and creating memorable experiences with those she loved. Fun-loving and persuasive, she had a unique gift for bringing others along on her adventures. Her generous heart, infectious spirit, and love for family and friends left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Stacey was preceded in death by her father, Winston Bradford Brown I; her grandparents, Winston and Wanda Lee Brown; and C.H. and Reba Carpenter.

She is survived by her daughters, Abygail Murray and Gabriella Murray; her grandson, Sonny Ray; future son-in-law, Joshua Watson; her mother, Debbie Gladys Brown; her brother, Brad Brown; her sister and brother-in-law, Ginger and Jake Ledet; her aunts, Rita Boncompagni Ludovsi and Susan Tharp; and her nieces and nephews, Sophia, Wyatt, Lily, and Nate Ledet; her cousin, Courtney Tharp Sword.

Though Stacey's time on earth was far too short, her love for life, the laughter she shared, and the lives she touched will continue to be felt. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

As we grieve her loss, we do not grieve without hope. Our comfort rests in the assurance that Stacey is now whole and free, with no more pain or suffering, in the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ. We rejoice in knowing that she has been reunited with the family and friends who have gone before her and now shares with them the eternal joy and glory of heaven. Until we meet again, we hold tightly to the promises of God and cherish the memories of the time we were given with her.
