OBITUARY

Stephen Eric Miller

November 4, 1971October 2, 2019

Stephen E. Miller passed away on October 2, 2019. A special memory his parents recall was Stephen ordering from the adult menu as a child. His earliest ambition was to own a car and specifically a Cadillac! Some things that made Stephen smile were funny movies and quoting famous lines of movies. Stephen had an extreme knowledge of aviation history. His proudest career accomplishment was becoming the youngest Director at Zales Corporation and his transfer to Signet in Akron, Ohio, after the acquisition of Zales. Stephen was an avid traveler to both places near and far in the United States and the world. Favorite things of Stephen was the color blue, fine dining, good wines, fine clothes, and the songs MacArthur Park and Angels Do Not Cry. In Memoriam of Stephen Miller; Masses may be personally requested for the repose of his soul, or donations for altar flowers for weekend masses can be sent to Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 1000 Tinker Road Colleyville, TX. 76034. 817-421-1387 He leaves behind his parents, Harold and Connie Miller and his beloved dog, Bendel. He will be interred in the columbarium at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Private services will be held as well at the Church. He will be dearly missed.

Stephen was so much fun to work for & with. He was a very generous man. My biggest memory of him was of when he’d pick a place to fly to in the early morning, do all his Christmas shopping there in one day, & fly home that same evening. I’ve missed him since my retirement & will continue to miss him. May he rest in peace in the arms of our Lord.

To Stephen, it was so nice to meet you and get to know you. I only wish you could've been around much longer so I could meet you again in Ohio to check out these great Mexican restaurants you told me about up there, gone to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, taken you and your parents to the NFL Football Hall of Fame in my hometown, or just sat around and talk jeeps and aviation.
To Harold and Connie, know that a lot of your American Airlines friends are thinking of you. Stephen was a great guy and I'm sure a wonderful son. I remember you bragging on him at work Harold. After meeting him, and hearing his story, you had every right. He has gone on too soon. But, you WILL see him again!
My deepest sympathies to you both, his close friends, and his coworkers as well.

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. My 28 year old daughter was called home to heaven this year. The pain is indescribable. Try to fill that hole in your heart with happy memories and focus on one day, sometimes one moment at at time.

This was such a shock to all that knew Stephen. He was a great guy, hilarious to talk to, and always had a smile. He was one of the best hiring decisions I made during my tenure at Zale - successful from day 1. He will be sorely missed.

Stephen, my heart is heavy as you have left us way too soon. You were our inspiration at the Dallas office and have left us with a wealth of memories. Your witty sense of humor, the admiration we all shared to have you as our leadership, your finesse when elevating the team to higher expectations, innovation and creative thinking, as well as all the humorous stories shared. I am grateful to have had you as my leader and most of all as my friend.

I am deeply saddened – My prayers are with your family – RIP Stephen - You will forever live on in our memories.

Love you and will forever miss you - Robin

We shared so many great memories ,worked with Stephen at PCSS and blessed to work with my friend again at Zale .he is not only a friend but part of the family . Stephen was always entertaining to say the least ,very caring ,giving and loving of his friends and family. I am very saddened by the his departure so early in life .It became tradition that I gave him a James Dean calendar every year for his birthday Stephen will always be carried in my heart , memories and loved forever . My heart and prayers go out to his parents
