Stephen Paul Norrell

He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, friend and poppy to all that knew and loved him. He was born on October 20, 1956 in Fort Worth, Texas to William Carl and Arlie Louise Norrell.

Steve graduated from Grapevine High School in 1975. While in high school, Steve developed a love of horses and rodeo. You could find Steve at Ross Downs Race Track where he began his career as a jockey or riding Saddle Broncs at high school rodeos. Soon after graduating, He married his wife of 42 years on October 5, 1976. In 1982, Steve started his own business in Keller - Norrell’s Boot and Shoe Repair and became one of the finest and respected cobblers in the area. In his 30+ years at the boot shop, Steve enjoyed his visits with his regular customers and friends. He also worked in the Test Barn at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie for 18+ years. After selling his business, he finished off his career as the Test Barn Manager at Lone Star Park.
