He was first my friend, then later my attorney. A godly man who loved the Lord. 
We went to church together and shared in worship. I will miss this gentleman. May his soul rest in God’s peace.

Steve was a great man and friend. An East Texas guy like me, Steve was full of great stories of mutual interest. I met him at the Tuesday lunches among men from Whites Chapel church. He looked so regal at his viewing and I prayed for him as God welcomed him in heaven.

I had just messaged Steve today…..I had no idea that he was doing poorly after his surgery.  I am so, so sorry!!!  We had met and dated this time last year up until his back surgery.  I knew how much pain he was in after conversations over the summer.  I hadn’t heard from him in awhile which is why I texted him today.  I’m in shock!  He really thought this surgery was the answer to his prayers.  I’ve never stopped thinking about him.  He was such a great man and so adored by everyone he introduced me to.  He will be missed.  God took one of the best men on earth to join Him in heaven.  God bless your family,  especially his grandchildren he ALWAYS spoke so highly of…..he loved them beyond measure!!

Anna Lisa and Lydia, I’m so sorry for your loss. Mr. Dowd was such a wonderful person and a true example for many.  Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Steve and I became friends when I preached the Noonday Holiness Camp in 2006, '07 and '08. He helped my ministry get its non-profit status. We had some deep talks, and I will miss him.
