Swati was passionate about her work and served as a Senior Clinical Social Worker at the Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services in the Bronx, NY before transitioning to work as a staff therapist at the New School University in New York City while also maintaining a private practice.
Swati was married to Brendan Sayers on July 14, 2007. Her nearly 5 ½ year battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) was a testament to her great courage and love for her family. Her love for her children kept her going through every challenge. Everyone who knew Swati was touched by her ability to always see the good in people, by her love for children, and by her great strength, joyful laughter, and beautiful smile.
Swati was predeceased by her father, Dr. Dhiraj Patel, and is survived by her husband, Brendan, her daughter Maeve, her two sons, Kieran and Aedan, and her mother, Mrs. Vibha Patel.
A visitation for Swati will be held Saturday, August 20, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX.
