Sylvia J Tarin

Sylvia J Tarin passed away peacefully at the age of 86 surrounded by her children grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was born in Lubbock, Texas on November 15, 1936 to Alton and Latchie Phillips.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Tarin, her sisters, JoAnn Fletcher, Doris Norwood, her brother, Ray Phillips, and parents, Alton and Latchie. She is survived by her children, Debra MacDonald (David), Toney Snow, Janet Alcedo, Bo Smith (Kevin Konzen), grandchildren, Brian Allen (Elvira), Stefanie Allen, and Matthew MacDonald (Allison), her great grandchildren, Brooklyn Allen, Maia Minshall, Hannah Allen, and Nolan Allen. Her family will continue to honor her legacy by living life to the fullest. She always said, “celebrate each other in life not death”.

Sylvia loved spending time with her family, pool parties, bowling, dancing, playing slot machines, and watching the Game Show Network. She was funny, witty, beautiful, kind and loving. Her humor was present to the very end. She will be dearly missed. A service is scheduled for April 11, viewing at 1pm, service at 2 PM with graveside service at 3 PM at the Bluebonnet Hills Funeral home in Colleyville.
