Tammy Joyce Murphy

She was born on September 30, 1957, in Sherman, TX, and spent her life devoted to family, faith, and the people she cared for so deeply.

She married Jackie Lane Murphy on March 19, 1993, and together they shared many years of love and partnership.

Tammy worked at Wells Fargo for 26 years, where she was known for her dedication and commitment to her work and colleagues.

She is survived by her children, Timothy Jay Ablay and wife Sky Ablay, Nicholas Robert Ablay and wife Brandi Ablay, and Courtney Lane Gilliam and husband TJ Gilliam; her grandchildren, Keegan Murphy, Ava Murphy, Chloe Ablay, Presleigh Ablay, and Ellie Ablay; her siblings, Terry Smith, Mary Beth Schulze, and Kim Stark; and her mother-in-law, Louise Murphy. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Hodges; her father, Carlos Taggart; her sisters, Karla Little and Jan Yates; and her father-in-law, James Murphy.

Tammy’s unwavering faith, gentle spirit, and dedication to her family were the hallmarks of her life.

Tammy's funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 10th at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home 5725 Colleyville Blvd. Colleyville, TX 76034. There will be a visitation at 12 pm which will be followed by the funeral at 1:30 pm

The committal service is scheduled for February 11, 2026, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211. Attendees are requested to arrive at the cemetery no later than 10:15 am, with the service commencing at 10:30 am.
