Thadius Ray Yarbrough, 79, of Burleson, TX, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at home, surrounded by his loved ones. T. Ray will always be remembered as a hardworking man who loved his family above all else.
T. Ray was born on March 13, 1944 to Thad and Elizabeth “Liz” Yarbrough on Drew Army Airfield Base in Tampa, FL. He grew up in Grapevine, TX, where he was a 1962 graduate of Grapevine High School.
In June of 1963, T. Ray found his home away from home at General Motors- an obvious choice since he had always loved cool cars. His hardworking drive, attention to detail, and even some thick skin allowed him to have an amazing forty three and a half year career there, where he made many life long friends, and he was able to provide a wonderful life for his family.
During his time at General Motors, T Ray also served in the U.S. Army National Guard, Grapevine Volunteer Fire Department, and Lewisville Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived in death by his daughter, Brandi and husband, James Kellison, his “precious Sugar Plum” granddaughter, Elizabeth “Libby” Kellison, his sisters, Lynda Hawkins and Rebecca Smith, sister-in-law Pamela Bridges, and numerous nieces and nephews, whom all adored.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Jerre Ann, his infant son, Brian, his parents, Thad and Elizabeth Yarbrough, in-laws, Alvin and Martha Lowry, along with countless other loved ones.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Chapel, located at: 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034
