

Thomas “Tommy” is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Marjorie Robinson Cotten, who never left his side; 8 children, Wendy Hampton and husband Michael, John Robb, Linda Chancellor, Rebecca Handy and husband Frank, Catherine Cotten, Lana Pruitt and husband Warren, Teresa Cotten, and John Cotten; 17 grandchildren, Lana Kay Lambert and husband Wes, Travis Hampton and wife Jennifer, Tawnya Sellars and husband Glenn, Jayson McGinnis and wife Heather, Chris Baeza, Amanda Warren, Eric Verdeja and wife Denise, LeeArron Hughes and husband Billy, Kory McGinnis, Warren Pruitt, Chad Robinson, Jordan Robb, Kyle Robb, Jeffery Funk, Jarrett “JT” Funk, Nikolaus Cotten, and William Cotten; great grandchildren, Alexis Simon and Garrett Hampton, Dominic Sellars, Gavin Sellars, Meadow McGinnis, Maple Hughes, and June Ellington Holman. He is preceded in death by his son, David Cotten and parents, William and Katherine Cotten.
Tom Cotten was born May 27,1941 in Arkansas and raised in Bakersfield, California. He left high school to join the Navy where he met his first wife Colleen while stationed in Long Beach. Upon her death, he and his children moved to Colleyville, Texas where he met his wife Marjorie and spent the next 35 years raising their children together. Tom worked as a machinist for Bell Helicopter until his retirement to his lake house in Sulphur, OK where he spent the days fishing and taking walks with his father-in-law and best friend, Thurman “TC” Hudson. Tom was an accomplished singer and self-taught guitarist who wailed on the harmonica and passed on his talent and love for music to all his children. His true success in life was the pride and accomplishment of raising his children, grandchildren, and being surrounded by the love of his life, Marjorie.
Funeral service will be Monday, August 4th at 3pm at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home in Colleyville. Visitation will be Sunday, August 3rd from 5-8pm at the funeral home.
