Thomas Ray Teague of Trophy Club, TX passed away on October 8th in Grapevine, Texas after a courageous battle with Covid-19. He will be remembered as a loving husband, a dad like no other, a grandfather and soon to be great grandfather.
He was born on July 4th, 1944 in Westboro, Missouri to Dale Arthur Teague and Marie Marguerite Teague and was the youngest of 10 children. He met Linda, his wife of 55 years at an A&W in Shenandoah, IA. They married soon after on June 5th, 1965 and went on to have two daughters, Shelley & Stacey. In his younger years, he played semi-pro baseball in Iowa and fast pitch softball. He started working for GTE (now known as Verizon) when he was just 21 and worked for them for the majority of his professional life. He retired in November, 2003. He enjoyed fishing, sports, bowling and spending time with his family. He loved traveling with Linda, especially cruises and the occasional trip to Winstar.
He was a life-long University of Missouri football fan and rarely missed watching Saturday college football. We are convinced that he had something to do with Missouri's defeat of LSU last Saturday and we know he was cheering! He spent his days watching Friends & evenings watching the Big Bang Theory, his two favorite shows. He was always a giving friend, husband and father and would always be willing to help whenever he was asked. He had bright blue eyes and a dimple in his chin that made his smile contagious. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Tom is survived by his loving wife, Linda Teague, his daughters & sons-in-law, Shelley & Cayne Wallis and Stacey & Greg Sitz. He was blessed with 5 grandchildren Taylor Wallis, Jordan Martin & husband Chase, Allison Lawson & husband Casey, Reed Sherman and fiancé Mallory Hayden & Sydney Wallis and a soon to be great grandson, Madison Thomas Lawson. He has numerous nieces and nephews scattered across the country.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale & Marie and his siblings: Betty Hunter, Bob Teague, Herb Teague, Bonnie Dressler, Don Teague, Jim Teague, Kent Teague, Don Teague & Gary Teague.
He will always be remembered as a generous and kind man and rock for his family.
