Vicki Charlene Murphy

Vicki Charlene Murphy of Graham, Texas, passed away the morning of Friday July 3, 2026 after years of fighting Parkinson’s.

Born November 14, 1950 in Denison, TX, she was 75 years old. She graduated from LD Bell in Hurst, TX in 1968.

She started working at Dallas Nephrology Associates as Secretary to Dr. Tom Parker and worked hard to become Director of Facilities Operations and retired in 2017 after 41 years and 10 months.

She had a wonderful marriage for 40 years to an amazing man and father, Jim Murphy who preceded her in death in 2024.

She always looked out for others before herself. She even donated a kidney to her brother Bill in 2007. She survived Breast Cancer in 2009. Her family and friends always came first before everything.

She loved being at the Deer Lease and was a devoted Member of the Menard Women's Social Club.

She was also preceded in death by her parents Charles & Winona Hicks, and her sister, Linda Rogholt.

She is continuing to watch over her brothers, Jim Hicks, and Bill Hicks and wife Carrie. Daughters, Tracy Dye & husband Clay. Melissa Spaulding and husband Bryce. Grandchildren, Taylor Whitley, Dalton Lewis and Wife Jessica, Aleesha Dye and fiance' Josh, Chase Love and wife Kayla, Gabby Deeds and husband Conner. Great-Grandchildren, Anya Lewis, Carson Whitley, Saylor Whitley Aaliyah Turner, Spencer Avila, Leilani Avila, Declan Deeds, and Chase Love II, and host of Nephews and Nieces.

A Celebration of Life is to be held at Bluebonnet Hills in Colleyville on Friday July 17, 2026 at 10am.
