

Virginia L. McCall was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Virginia will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
She was the daughter of James and Ovella Jackson.
Virginia enjoyed her college years, which may have been a challenge with all of the academics, responsibilities, and the sudden freedom that accompanied them, but Virginia was able to manage the balancing act. She earned a degree in nursing from TCU. She graduated cum laude.
Empathic and loyal, Virginia was committed to making her new family happy.
Virginia worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Virginia was blessed with three sons, Ray Jr., Ken, Kevin, and three daughters, Cheryl, Claudia, and Cindy.
Virginia enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Virginia enjoyed gardening, quilting, sewing, genealogy, but most importantly being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was content to enjoy her favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share her interests with others.
Virginia worked as a registered nurse, until her retirement at age 67. Even in retirement, Virginia continued to stay in touch with her old friends while making plenty of new acquaintances. Virginia was active in her new community and felt fulfilled with the opportunities retirement offered her.
Virginia passed away on July 9, 2016 in Fort Worth. She is survived by children; Ray Jr., Ken, Cheryl, Kevin, Claudia and Cindy; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and her beloved cat Baby Mac. Services were held at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Colleyville, Texas. Virginia was laid to rest in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas.
Virginia was an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Virginia leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Virginia L. McCall.

Virginia L. McCall 91 passed away on July 9, 2016. Virginia was born on June 30, 1925 to James and Ovella Jackson in Pontotoc County, Oklahoma. On September 2, 1944 Virginia married the love of her life, Ray McCall Sr. They were married for 60 years, until his passing in 2005. She graduated cum laude from TCU with a degree in nursing. Virginia worked as a registered nurse, until her retirement at age 67. Virginia enjoyed gardening, quilting, sewing, genealogy, but most importantly being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Survivors: children; Ray Jr., Ken, Cheryl, Kevin, Claudia and Cindy; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and her beloved cat Baby Mac.
