Wade was born in Roscoe, TX to Wade Edwin & Marjorie Neblett Forester. He descended from some of Roscoe's first citizens, WEB & Clarinda McBurnett, Aaron Liberty & Mary Reeves Forester, and Valentine & Martha McBurnett Forester. Wade's mother, Marjorie, was related to the Cain, Jones, Jowell, Neblett & Sloan families who were early settlers of Stephenville, Erath County, TX. Following his 1953 graduation from Sweetwater High School, Wade attended Texas Tech and Hardin Simmons University. He married Barbara Abbott on September 7, 1957. After his 1958-61 service in the US Army at Fort Lewis, WA, he served in the National Guard reserve at Sweetwater where he was Service Manager at Forester Chevrolet. He moved to Hurst, TX, in 1968, where he was a forklift service mechanic until his retirement in May, 2001. He was a member of The Crusaders Class at First Baptist Church of Hurst, TX. Wade served as a Leader for each of his sons' Boy Scout Troops, and was a frequent supporter of all sport or fine arts activity in which his children and grandchildren participated. He hauled many folding chairs, umbrellas & coolers to numerous swim meets and soccer, baseball, volleyball & football games, and rarely missed a band, choir or theater performance. Wade dealt with lymphoma and loss of cognitive skills in the same way that he dealt with the good times in his life - quietly, with grace and the assurance of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. Always a gentle man, he taught his sons well how to love their wives and children as well as how to honor their wives' extended families. As are many true west Texas men, he was drawn to water. Family vacations included access to ski boats, sailboats, or touring tall ships and military vessels. He did not have to be asked twice to drive a ski boat, as he was happiest with one or more of his offspring skipping wakes behind him. He leaves a legacy of love, honor and respect for God, family, friends, and country. Left behind to cherish his memory are: Wife of 57 years, Barbara Forester Son, Warren and wife Rae Ann Forester of Grand Prairie, TX Son, Scott and wife Elizabeth Forester of Bedford, TX Grandchildren: Aaron and wife Diana Forester of Hurst, TX Kayte Forester of San Marcos, TX Sarah Forester of Denton, TX Ethan Forester of Austin, TX Sister, Valentine Walkup of Henrietta, TX Niece, Camille Denham & family of Wichita Falls, TX
