Wayne H. Watson

Wayne H. Watson, 80, of Gunter, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 7, 2016. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Wayne was born in Fort Worth on May 4, 1936 to parents, Darwin and Freda Watson. He was the youngest of three children. He spent most of his childhood on the family farm in Coleman, Texas. He worked for the FAA and later for the US Postal Service as the Superintendent of Maintenance. He retired from Bulk Mail Center in Dallas, Texas after many years of service. After retirement, he became a Master Electrician and HVAC Engineer. He used his skills in service with the Texas Baptist Men’s Church Building Team. Wayne was known for his sense of humor, dedication to his family and sense of adventure. Beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend will be dearly missed. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lanettia Walters, and sister-in-law, Kathryn Watson. Wayne is survived by his children, Deattia Macdonald and husband, Curtis, Debra Brinkley and husband, Wayne, Joe Watson and wife, Wanda, Jeff Watson and wife, Lori; grandchildren, Tisha, Tabitha, Jeremy, Stephen, Benjamin, David, Julia, Elizabeth, and Alex; 10 great-grandchildren, brother, Darwin Watson; brother-in-law, Wayne Walters, and a host of extended family and friends.
