

Wendy was born on February 25, 1969, in Southfield, Michigan.
Wendy was a caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a beloved mother of three children and a grandmother of 7 grandchildren, with whom she cherished with all of her heart.
She was a journalist, graphic artist, writer, book coach/editor, and public speaker, as well as a free-lance fiction author and publisher. She acquired two Bachelor's Degrees and a Master’s Degree. Wendy taught at Texas A&M at Corpus Christi for two years, winning Teacher of The Year both years. She was a precious person to all and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She had lived in several areas of the country during her too-short life but her heart was happiest in Mississippi.
Wendy is survived by her husband of 24 years, Lee Strain; two daughters, Brittney (Aaron) Pokusa of Babcock Ranch, FL, and Lea Ann Strain of Granbury, TX; her son, Sean (Charlotte) Strain of Corpus Christi, TX; seven grandchildren, Tristan Pokusa, Dean Pokusa, and Alice Pokusa all of Florida; Olive Strain, Archie Strain, Wesley Strain, and Willow Strain all of Texas; her parents, Pete and Judy Ehrenberg of Trophy Club TX; father Jim Konar (Carol) of Sterling Heights, MI; and a brother, Jim Konar (Sun) of Trophy Club, TX, brother, Tommy Ehrenberg (Jennifer) argyle, Texas and sherry Ehrenberg, sister of Abbotsford, British Colombia.
