

Bill was born on February 16, 1943 in San Antonio, TX. He graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School in Prairie Village, KS and attended Kansas State College of Pittsburg.
His sales career started at Sears on the Kansas City Plaza. He then went to work for Warner Chilcott. Bill moved on to spend the next 30 years employed by Surgikos and then absorbed by Johnson & Johnson where he was even bestowed the “Man of the Year” award.
Bill was an avid golfer, a USGA golf course rater, a Presbyterian Church elder, soccer coach and referee, tennis player and hunter. He also enjoyed spending time at the lake and traveling. He was a member of Y Indian Guides, Y Indian Princesses, Stonebriar Men’s Bible Study, and the North Texas Senior Golf Association. He attended Bear Creek Bible Church. He participated in Mayo Clinic and UT Southwestern Medical Center research trials to help others who might later be diagnosed with his rare form of apraxia and aphasia.
Bill is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Lynne; children Shelly Wilson (Scott), Scott Kayser, MD (Naomi), and Melissa Jones (Kelly); grandchildren Hannah Ryan (Jeff), Haley Jones, Matalynne Jones, Mitchell Jones, Katie Kayser, Anna Kayser, and Rachel Kayser; great-granddaughters Georgia and Lillian; his sister Barbara Franke (Larry) and brother Richard Talbot (Patty).
Bill’s Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 2 p.m. A reception will follow at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034.
