

Andrew Jordan Bacon was born September 2, 1993 in Nashua, NH. He passed away in Lille, France on March 11, 2024 at the age of 30. Jordan is survived by his parents, Andy and Rachel Bacon, girlfriend Vicky, grandmother Helen, aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous best friends world-wide. He is predeceased by his grandparents, Roy and Mary Frances Edwards, and Joseph Bacon.
Jordan completed his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Memphis where he double majored in English and French, with University Honors with Thesis and Honors in English. He was a member of Pi Delta Phi Socie’te’ d’ Honeur Francais. He also earned a Master of Arts degree in English with emphasis in ESL (English as a Second Language) from the University of Memphis. He most recently taught ESL at the University Polytechnic Hauts-de-France in Valenciennes, France. He also taught at schools in Dunkirk and Amiens, France, and at the University of Memphis and he volunteered at a refugee camp in Dunkirk, France. He earned his TEFL certification in Pilsen, Czech Republic.
Jordan was known for his sarcastic wit and love of spice. He loved music, playing guitar, fishing, reading, cooking, hiking, and biking. He loved to travel, having been to the 48 contiguous states and over 15 countries. He was a loyal friend and son who went above and beyond to make others feel welcomed, comfortable, and included. He was a member of Germantown Baptist Church where he participated in the student ministry praise band, martial arts and sports ministries, the Conservatory of Music, and Boy Scouts, earning the rank of Eagle Scout.
The funeral service for Jordan Bacon will take place Saturday, March 30 at 11:00 a.m. in the Faith Building at Germantown Baptist Church, 9450 Poplar Ave., Germantown, TN. The service will be preceded by a visitation at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Community Cemetery at 56 Spring Hill Road Oakland, MS at 2:30 p.m.
