Annberly Nancy (Whetzel) Chiarella DOB 12-1-1980 Annberly Nancy (Whetzel) Chiarella gained her heavenly wings Friday July 22, 2022. Born December 1st, 1980 to Vicky (Whetzel) Barnett and to the late Fred Whetzel in Shenandoah County Virginia.
Preceded in death by Nancy and Vincent Gioielli (USAF, POW WWII)(Grandparents), Joseph Chiarella Sr. (US Army)(father-in-law). She is Survived by Her mother Vicky Barnett and Husband Mike. Her Husband of 15 years Joseph Chiarella Jr.(US Army Ret.), Daughter Annalise and Son Joey whom were her pride and joy! Sister Aubrey Stanley and husband Duane. Her two Nephews whom she loved as her own Daryen (US Army) and Cullen. Sister-in-Law Pamela and Raphael Calzadilla. Aunts Kathy Hudgins, Kim Whited and Uncle Vince Gioielli. Numerous great uncles, cousins, friends and family.
A 1999 graduate of Central High School. After graduation, Annberly a strong willed and very competitive young lady left her home in Virginia to join the U.S. Army. A role and job which she poured her soul and determination into. Her first duty assignment landed her in Hawaii. While stationed in Hawaii her unit spent a year in Afghanistan. As a Non-commissioned officer she went to Ft Campbell on her next assignment where she received her Jumpmaster wings and also played International Women's Football for the Clarksville Fox as a linebacker. After the Army she pursued a lifelong goal of becoming a dental hygienist where she continued to excel and touch lives with her Servant attitude. A firm believer in Christ, she made many trips overseas for mission purposes and at home as a volunteer with the Christian dental mobile clinic. Annberly will be deeply missed and made a huge impact on her circle of friends and family. Her huge heart, always smiling face and goofy laugh are just a few things that made this great woman the best Airborne Princess ever.
The Family will receive friends at Harvest Church 3645 Forest Hill Irene Rd. Germantown, TN 38138 Thursday, July 28th from 11-1 pm with a Service to immediately follow
She will be laid to rest at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery 4000 Forest Hill Irene Rd. Germantown, TN 38138 on Friday July 29th at 10 am
There will be a celebration of life on August 5th at 4pm at Restoration Fellowship Church 2128 John Marshall Hwy, Strausburgh VA 22657.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to “military veteran project (22 a day)” or “Wounded Warrior Project”.
