I met Austin through his life-long friend, Mike Tebbe, and primarily knew him from the game he loved, golf, where we played together on numerous occasions. Austin was always friendly and pleasant, qualities challenged for some of us at times on the golf course. He is also remembered fondly for the variety of emails and articles he shared in email exchanges.
