Benny Lendennie, a dedicated family man, active community member, and passionate Harley enthusiast, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.
Born in Blytheville, Arkansas on December 24, 1948, Benny built a wonderful life in Collierville, Tennessee, with his beloved wife of 55 years, Dianne Haynes Lendennie. A respected professional, Benny enjoyed a long and successful career before retiring from Conagra. Even in retirement, he continued to share his knowledge and leadership, serving in significant roles with ASP and PCS.
Benny will be remembered for the joy and warmth he brought to everyone around him. Known for his quick wit and love of making people laugh, he could brighten any room, often with one of his signature *dad jokes*. He was a well-known and active presence at his church, Living Hope Church, and throughout the Collierville community. His favorite moments were spent riding his cherished Harley-Davidson, enjoying peaceful days at the lake, and surrounding himself with the family he adored. Benny’s devotion to his God and his loved ones was the true foundation of his life.
Benny is preceded in death by his parents, Bonnie and Lucius Lendennie, and his brother, David Lendennie. He is survived by his wife, Dianne Haynes Lendennie; his daughter, Brooke Loeffler, and her husband, Brian; his son, Brett Lendennie, and his wife, Pam; and his cherished grandchildren, Nate and Kylie Loeffler.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 24, 2025 beginning at 10:30 at Living Hope Church, 345 Keough Drive, Piperton, Tennessee 38017. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon.
