

Bobby Joe Keough, 79, a longtime resident of Collierville, Tennessee, died April 24, 2013. Bobby was born in Jackson, Tennessee, the son of Jack Alfred and Gladys Keough. He attended Memphis State University, earning a Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Education. Family will receive friends Sunday April 28, 2013 from 1 p.m. until service at 2 p.m. all at the Collierville Funeral Home in Collierville TN. Interment will take place at Magnolia Cemetery in Collierville TN. Bobby served in the U.S. Army, stationed in several locations, including London, UK, where he met his future wife, Eileen. They were married for 53 years. Upon being honorably discharged from the Army, Bob began his career in education, serving as teacher, principal, and asst. superintendent at various schools in the Memphis area. After retirement, Bobby and Eileen moved to Red Banks, Mississippi, where he attended United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant. He is survived by his wife, Eileen Keough, three children and spouses. Sean, his wife Ginny of High Springs, FL, Liz Keough Taylor husband Tom of Red Banks, MS and Kevin, wife Liz Landrigan Keough, of Memphis, TN. He is survived by six grandchildren, Pate, Morgan, Aidan, Ciara, Culann, and John Ronan. Bobby was one of nine children, survived by his brother, Tom Keough, and too many nieces and nephews to mention here. Bobby was a woodworker, gardener, and avid student of biblical and world history.
