Heaven got a whole lot brighter, and our world grew a lot dimmer when Charlotte Arnold Lowry passed away on 4/27/22. Charlotte was born the 7th of 10 children to William and Nell Arnold in Trenton, Tn on February 25, 1941. She lived most of her adult life in Collierville, Tn and considered it her home town. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Neil Lowry, her siblings, Ted McClemore, Lanore Harbor, Norma Wray, Frank Arnold, Jerry Arnold, Mac Arnold, Johnny Arnold, and Lester Arnold. She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda (Drew) Schofield, Renee (Beck) Gentry, her stepson, Randy Lowry, (Susan) 4 grandsons-Steve Lowry, (Julia) Mark Lowry (Hannah), Justin Sechrest (Victoria), and Peyton Pitts, and 3 great-grandchildren, Reagan and Nole Lowry, and Carson Sechrest, a sister, Mary Williams, and sisters in law, Sandra Arnold and Diane Ingram and multiple friends that became family. Charlotte loved Jesus, her family (some more than others), and her church (First Baptist Collierville, Grace Sunday School Class, part of the original 13). She also loved fishing with her husband, SEC sports, a real diet coke, and eating all the foods she was told not to, especially McDonald’s sausage biscuit, Planter’s peanuts, and her beloved popcorn. She did not like getting up early, cold weather, swimming, John Calipari, and squirrels. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a beautiful smile, and the sweetest soul. She was well known for her cooking skills and her fried chicken, chicken salad, orange cake, deviled eggs, biscuits and gravy, and dressing will be missed by those who were blessed enough to eat from her kitchen. To know her was to love her, even if you had to roll your eyes at some of her shenanigans. She kept us all on our toes and there was never a dull moment when you were with her. We will miss her tremendously, but we have no doubt that she is in Heaven having the best family reunion ever complete with multiple pans of dressing that Jesus probably requested she make for the feast.
