Danielle grew up in Southern California, where she was attended Evangelica Christian School. Danielle's childhood was spent with her cousins, aunts and uncles, and grandparents often going to the beach and frequent trips to Mexico. Danielle was quiet and reserved at times, and other times silly and full of mischief. Her family moved to Tennessee in 1990, where she later graduated from Germantown High School in 1993.
Danielle was an exceptionally talented artist and designer. She loved painting, gardening, home improvements, and lake house projects. Her mark was left everywhere she ever lived or worked. She worked with her family at Old Towne Antiques and became a pretty good right-hand woman to her brother Noah in the Upholstery Shop. Danielle was a Daddy’s girl. Jeff said his favorite part of going to the lake when he had work to do was to spend the time with Danielle, laughing and joking. She was always willing to help her dad take on the newest project. She loved the water and being at the lake or the beach whenever possible.
Danielle loved animals. ALL kinds of animals.
Danielle had a smile that would light up a room and she always saw the best in people. Her laugh was infectious. Danielle loved her children and was extremely proud of them. If she were able to, She would remind them that family is most important, and that they can rely on this village. These people, this family, that are gathered here today in her honor and remembrance, will be there in the moments when you will miss her.
If she was your friend, she was loyal always. If you were a stranger, she was kind. If she was your daughter, never doubt her gratitude for your guidance and perseverance. If you were her child, know that her very reason for being was to have you and love you the best way she knew how. Everyone who spent time with Danielle, felt accepted and loved. We are thankful for the many memories that we will all share, laugh about, and cry together as we keep her in our hearts. She is at peace reunited with Taner, and at rest with her Lord, Jesus Christ.
Quote from Mother Teresa:
People are often unreasonable and self-centered. Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anyway. If you are honest, people may cheat you. Be honest anyway. If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway. The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway. Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway. For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.
Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give but cannot. All of that unspent love gathers in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat and in the hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go. – Jamie Anderson
