Reverend David Cross, age 57, of Collierville, Tennessee, entered his eternal home in Heaven to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
David faithfully served the Lord and His people for more than 33 years, most recently as a devoted associate pastor at Memphis First Assembly of God. His ministry was marked by steadfast faith, a shepherd’s heart, and an unwavering desire to point others to the hope found only in Jesus. He lived his life as a true servant of God, and his legacy will continue in the countless lives he touched.
David is survived by his loving wife, Robin Cross; their four children, Marie Strickland-Burbeck (Tim), TJ Strickland, Christopher David Cross, and Jonah David Cross; and his two precious granddaughters, Mia Jade Burbeck and Moriah June Burbeck, who brought him endless joy.
He is lovingly remembered by his father, Robert Cross of Columbia, Kentucky; his mother, Linda Morrall (Dennis) of Sherwood, Arkansas; his sisters, Lydia Morrall and Rachele Chason; and his brothers, Adam Cross, Joseph Buchanan (Jennifer), Jason Cross, Jonathan Cross (Kim), Joshua Cross, Justin Cross (Jennifer) and his stepmother, Deborah Cross (Eddie).
He is also survived by his father-in-law, David Howell (Momma Shirley), and his mother-in-law, Rosalie Boldreghini Billings, whom he cherished deeply. He is lovingly remembered by his sisters-in-law, Cynthia Newsom (Marvin), Toni McCray (and her son, Grant), and Ashlee Plumlee (Wade); as well as his brothers-in-law, Bart Howell (Danielle) and Andy Howell (Angie).
David was preceded in death by his beloved son, John David Cross.
He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle David dearly.
David’s life was a living testimony of God’s grace and faithfulness. He will be remembered for his kind spirit, contagious smile, and unwavering trust in the Lord throughout every season.
A celebration of life and ministry will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Memphis First Assembly of God, 650 Walnut Grove Road Memphis, Tennessee. The family will receive friends beginning at 9 a.m.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m.
