

Debra was born on April 23, 1951, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Bill C. Taylor and Sara D. Taylor. She attended Graceland Elementary School and graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1969, where she was an active member of the debate team. She continued her education at the University of Mississippi before earning her teaching degree from Memphis State University.
Debra began her professional career with the Internal Revenue Service before following her passion for education as a fifth-grade teacher at Holy Rosary School. She later joined the family business, TCI Automotive, where she discovered her calling in human resources. Her career flourished as she advanced to leadership roles with Fel-Pro and Federal Mogul. Her final professional chapter was serving as Head of Human Resources at Bill C. Taylor Enterprises, where she was respected for her integrity, dedication, and care for others.
A devoted member of Incarnation Catholic Church, Debra’s faith was an important part of her life. She found great joy in reading and was an avid fan of Downton Abbey and Game of Thrones. Known for her intelligence, warmth, and quiet strength, she left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
Debra was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Bill C. and Sara D. Taylor, and her loving husband, David Roberson.
She is survived by her devoted son, Shawn P. McDaniel of Memphis, Tennessee, and his wife, Alicia; her cherished grandchildren, Taylor Johnson of Nesbit, Mississippi, and her husband, Matt; Alden Price McDaniel of Memphis, Tennessee, and his wife, Jordan; and Bishop Pierce McDaniel of Memphis, Tennessee. She was the proud great-grandmother of Case Sones and Rose Daria McDaniel. She also leaves behind her loving sister, Jane Barrentine of Collierville, Tennessee, as well as her nephew, Brandon Barrentine, and her niece, Allison West, and her husband, Shaun West.
Debra will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
