Elizabeth White Lawhon

Beth White Lawhon, born May 24, 1924, in Hornbeak, TN, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2011. Wife, mother, grandmother, and successful business owner, who loved life and dedicated her time to supporting the physical and emotional needs of any young person who needed a “moms love”. As a wife and lifelong partner, she leaves behind her husband of 56 years, Rex Lawhon whom she “rescued” from the Veterans hospital after WWII and became his dedicated business partner in Lawhon Horticultural Spray Service for over 50 years. Mom-B is survived by her three children, John Lawhon (Jennifer), Len Lawhon (Susan), and Martha Northington, and eight grandchildren, David Lawhon, Joshua Lawhon, Wesley Lawhon, Paul Lawhon, Will Lawhon, Lexie Lawhon, Laura Northington, and Connor Northington. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorials be made to Collierville United Methodist Church or Boy Scout Troop 50. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Friday, June 10 and the service will be Saturday, June 11 at 10 a.m., all at the Collierville Funeral Home in Collierville TN.
