Ernie was born on February 24, 1948, to Ernest Joseph Mannerino, Sr. and Nicoletta (Nancy) DeSimone Mannerino in Beaver Falls, PA. After Ernie graduated from Beaver Falls High School in 1966, he was drafted into the U. S. Army and served in Germany and Vietnam. He was honorably discharged on August 18, 1968.
During his working years, Ernie was primarily engaged in sales and marketing activities for several large manufacturing companies. Ernie joined IPS Corporation in 1997 as President of the Plumbing Division based in Collierville, TN. Before retiring in 2007, he led multiple acquisitions, advanced manufacturing automation and IT infrastructure. Due to his exceptional leadership qualities, he earned respect throughout IPS and within the plumbing industry. During his career he established many life-long friendships; he believed personal relationships were the most important aspect of business.
Ernie became a member of Ridgeway Country Club in 2009. He served on the Board of Directors for two terms, where he acted as Membership Chair. He was an avid golfer, participating in friendly games and tournaments. He considered Ridgeway a second home. He truly loved the members and staff as family and always looked forward to spending time with them.
He was a very generous man, involved with charities such as LeBonheur Children’s Hospital, Breast Cancer Eradication Initiative and Page Robbins Adult Day Care Center. He cared deeply for people of all walks of life and made an impact on everyone who met him. Ernie was the life of the party. He loved to cook and entertain at home, always making everyone feel comfortable and welcome. And, of course, he was known for his love of Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon.
Ernie is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda and two daughters: Kristen (Joe) Williams and Lauren (Lawrence) Sansone. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his five grandchildren: Jake, Grey, Gabe, Celia and Luca.
Ernie was predeceased by his father Ernest Mannerino Sr., his mother Nancy Mannerino and his sister Victoria Cavallo. His surviving immediate family members are sisters Nancy Cornecki and Ernestine (Tina) Guantonio, as well as brothers David and Mark Mannerino.
Private services will be held for the family at Collierville Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will be held at Ridgeway Country Club, 9800 Poplar Avenue, Germantown, Tennessee on October 18, 2025 from 2-4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Breast Cancer Eradication Initiative (www: pinkribbonopen.org) P.O.
