Evangelyn “Vangie” Best Sallee, 78, of Collierville, TN, died Monday, October 20, 2014 at the Memphis Jewish House. Vangie was born, July 25, 1936, in St. Louis, MO, to the late William Capers Best, III and Mary Ellen Hales Best. She was a member of Twin Oaks Presbyterian Church in St. Louis and a Piano Teacher. She is survived by her son, Dr. David C. Sallee and his wife Carol Rene Robinson, sisters; Jacqueline Phillips and Marceleen Best, and two granddaughters; Maria and Elena Sallee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Levi Sallee and a sister, Beverly Remmel. Funeral Services will be 11am, Thursday with visitation beginning at 10am at Collierville Funeral Home. Burial will be 2pm, Saturday at Oak Hill Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
