Hunter Neal Deen, age 42, of Germantown, TN passed into the arms of Jesus on Monday, July 24, 2023. Born and raised in Germantown, Hunter graduated from Germantown High School in 2000, and began to pursue his passion as a Police Officer. Officer Deen honorably served his hometown for more than 17 years as part of the Uniformed Patrol Division.
Hunter loved his family, friends, and fellow officers, and he will be lovingly remembered for his dedication, commitment, sense of humor, quick wit, fun loving spirit, and his loyalty. He loved to do anything outside, especially things involving motorcycles, four wheelers, mud ridin', fishing, hunting, and guns. One of his favorite places was Greers Ferry Lake, surrounded by his family.
Hunter is survived by his parents, Joe and Jana Deen of Piperton, TN; his sister, Heather Morgan and her husband Morgan; his niece, Laney Jo Morgan; 3 nephews, Dean Morgan, Neal Morgan, and Jack Morgan; his step-daughter, Lexi Ellis; his grandfather, George Crews; and numerous special friends.
The family will gather on Monday, July 31st, at 5:30 p.m. to receive friends, and the Celebration of Life service will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Ivy Hall at Collierville Funeral Home, 3863 Bailey Station Road. A reception will immediately follow.
Hunter was a fighter, enduring against great physical difficulties including a kidney transplant and multiple battles with cancer. Despite all his struggles, he always remained an optimist and constantly encouraged others around him. In 2021, he was named a "Courage Thru Cancer" honoree for his perseverance. Hunter never lost Hope, and he was an example of strength and an inspiration to everyone.
