Jim was born on March 20, 1943, to John and Marge Etz.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte (“Betsy”) Etz; three sons, Blair (Leslie), Brett (Angie), and Brian (Jackie); and daughter, Beth (Justin).
He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Bradley (Chloe) Etz, Hayden Etz, Avery Etz, Stella Etz, Lily Etz, Parker Shikle, Tucker Johnson, Caroline Johnson; and one great-granddaughter, Brylee Etz.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Collierville Funeral Home, with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m.
Jim will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Ronald McDonald House Memphis Charities.
