James Perry “Jim” Inman Sr., 66, passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis Tennessee. He was born July 18, 1955, in Santa Monica, California and moved to Tennessee in 1957.
Jim graduated from Hillcrest High School, class of 1973. After graduation, he served as a Dental Assistant in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea. Upon returning to civilian life in Tennessee he enrolled in Middle Tennessee State University and later transferred to Memphis State University.
Jim worked in sales for many years, but if you asked him, he enjoyed delivering pizza for Papa John's over the past fifteen years most of all. He had a few hobbies including comic book and superhero memorabilia collecting. He loved music and movies as well and enjoyed sharing them with those around him. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with them. He was a loving husband, an amazing dad, and a wonderful grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander Hamilton Inman Jr. and Jodie Perry Warlick. He is survived by his wife of 27 years Pamela B. Inman, his son James Perry Inman II (Devin) of Memphis, TN, his sister Suzy Gore (Tom) of Franklin, TN, his brother Larry Inman of Memphis, TN, and 3 grandchildren: Dallas, David, and Trey Inman.
Visitation will be held at Collierville First Pentecostal Church on Monday, October 4, from 12:00 – 2:00. A funeral service will be held following the visitation at 2:00. There will be a private burial service at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
