James Howard Johnson

James was preceded in death by his beloved parents, four brothers, L.B. Johnson, Billy Edward Johnson, Jimmy Louis Johnson and Tommy Lynn Johnson, two sisters Bonnie Lou Johnson and Peggy Sue Paris.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Mary Townsend Johnson, four children, Kimberly Johnson Velazquez (Jerry), Kathleen Johnson O'Bavski (Dave) and Craig Johnson (Leah) of California and Brian James Johnson (Lindsay) Bartlett, TN, one stepson, Shane Townsend Dredge (Christi) of Memphis, TN. Eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. James is also survived by four brothers, George Wendell Johnson (Mary), Harvey Alan Johnson (Jean), Johnny Sam Johnson (Pauline), Buster Ray Johnson (Ann), two sisters Willie Jean Johnson and Freda Kay Rohde (Carl) as well as many other relatives and friends.

James spent over fifty years of his life as an over the road truck driver, both as a company driver and owner/operator. He was a member of the Masons. He loved animals and raised many varieties over the years. James was a man of Christian faith who deeply loved his family and friends. He will be sorely missed and forever remembered and cherished.

A family gathering will be held, at a later date, in James' hometown in Arkansas to honor and celebrate his life. If there are those who would like to memorialize him, please do so in the form of a gift to the charity of your choosing. Your prayers are greatly appreciated.
