

Jean Pinkston Jordan, Memphis, TN was born on October 2, 1927, in Memphis, Tennessee, and was the second child of Clarence Howard Pinkston, Sr. and Georgia Bouldien Pinkston. She died on October 22, 2015. Jean was a fifth generation Shelby Countian, a member of the Woodland Presbyterian Church, charter member of Early Settler of Shelby County and Adjoining Counties and former member of the We-Ah-Tah-Umba chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Crutcher Frank Jordan, only child Patricia Jean Holland, brothers Clarence Howard Pinkston, Jr., William McKay Pinkston (Billy), John Thomas Pinkston (Tommy) and a sister Shirley Pinkston Wilhite. She is survived by her sister Clarene Pinkston Russell of Collierville, nieces Cynthia Wilhite Connell of Florida, Deborah Pinkston Evans of Collierville and Kathi Russell Reisz of Dalton, Georgia, and a nephew Robert Howard Pinkston, Sr. of Grenada, Mississippi. The family will receive friends at Collierville Funeral Home on Sunday, October 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Memphis on Monday, October 26th at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Don Bassett officiating.
