Just to say what a great-brother-law LW was I have to tell you about the night Ray are I got married. When the wedding and reception was over LW and Welton were waiting outside for us and we got in his car and we
took off hoping no one would follow. Earlier that day Ray didn’t want anyone to decorate his car
so LW and Ray took his car and to hide it at Piper Brothera Plant.
LW let Ray borrow one of his suits for the wedding .
So after everything was done we
ran out to his car and and got in and he took off down the road and when he got to the end at Collierville-Arlington Rd he almost didn’t make the turn, slammed on his brakes did make the turn. So as to be sure no one was following he turned right and turned in at a church and waited until he thought it was safe.
In a few minutes some of the members came to see why we
were there and he explained then we left and we went to LW’s house then he and Welton brought Ray’s car back to us so we could leave.
He was always special to me.
I’m sorry that I couldn’t come to the funeral. I was
already on a plane to Miami because Helen’s son Victor is getting married tomorrow.
So to all his family he really was
a special person to me.
