

Born on March 24, 1952, in Memphis, Tennessee, Linda was the beloved daughter of William Conner Valentine and Mary Sue Valentine. She grew up surrounded by family and was the youngest sibling of Bonnie Keith, Clifton Valentine, and William Valentine.
On February 25, 1972, Linda married the love of her life, Allan Bruce Bowling. Together they shared 54 wonderful years of marriage—years filled with devotion, laughter, and unwavering partnership. Their love created the strong foundation of a beautiful life and family.
Linda was a proud and loving mother to her three children: her eldest daughter, Jenny Bowling Lovitt (Swep); her middle daughter, Cindy Bowling Davis (Neil); and her youngest son, Brian Walker Bowling (Amanda). Her greatest joy was being a mother and later a grandmother. She adored her four grandchildren—Whit Davis, Brennan Davis, Swep Hugh Lovitt V, and Cannon Lovitt—who brought immense pride and happiness to her life.
Linda was known for her amazing cooking, warm heart, loyal spirit, and joyful laugh. She dedicated her life to caring for and supporting her family, always putting the needs of those she loved before her own. She treasured time spent with friends and family, creating memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A wonderful mother, devoted wife, caring sister, proud grandmother, fun-loving aunt, and loyal friend, Linda touched countless lives with her kindness and compassion. Her love, laughter, and loyalty are a true testament to the remarkable woman she was.
Though she will be deeply missed beyond words, her family finds comfort knowing that Linda is now in heaven, watching over them just as she always did. Her legacy of love will live on through her family forever.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Allan Bruce Bowling; her three children, Jenny Bowling Lovitt (Swep), Cindy Bowling Davis (Neil), and Brian Walker Bowling (Amanda); her four cherished grandchildren, Whit Davis, Brennan Davis, Swep Hugh Lovitt V, and Cannon Lovitt; and her two brothers, Clifton Valentine and William Valentine.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Conner Valentine and Mary Sue Valentine; her sister, Bonnie Keith; and her niece, Dawn Valentine Boyd.
