Mary was born October 24, 1931 in Ashland, Mississippi, the daughter of the late, James Norton McGill and Audrey Irene Wilbanks McGill. She was a graduate of Ashland High School.
On February 19, 1954 she married David Burrows. She worked several jobs in the accounting field and retired from Peoples Bank after 25 years of service. Mary was a member of Fisherville Baptist Church and enjoyed serving her church, cooking and taking care of her family and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, David Burrows; her daughter, Tracey Burrows; her sister, Sue Brown and her brother, Marvin McGill.
She is survived by her daughter, Jan Campbell of Eads, Tennessee; her granddaughter, Rebecca Holliday (Angela Overhoff) of France; her sister, Ouida McGill of Memphis, Tennessee and two brothers, Gary McGill of Olive Branch, Mississippi and Arnold McGill of LaPlace, Louisiana.
The family will receive friends on Friday July 7, 2023 from 5-8 p.m. at Colliervillle Funeral Home, 3863 Bailey Station Road, Collierville, Tennessee. Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday July 8, 2023 with visitation beginning at 1 p.m., at First Baptist Church Fisherville, 11893 Macon Road, Eads, Tennessee 38028. Interment will immediately follow at First Baptist Fisherville Cemetery.
